Our History
In the beginning and for many years we were The Purple Cow Creamery. Owned by proud ice cream entrepreneurs Marishka Titus Michener and Lynn Titus Wallen. The creamery was renowned in Easton, PA for it's 48 flavors of hand made goodness. The name changed to Bank Street Creamery in 2013.
A man and his dog Frankie, took ownership of Bank Street Creamery in 2015
He learned ice cream from Lynn....so proud to have taken over the business she created and nurtured. Trying really hard not to screw it up.
The business owner, Brooks Minnick, was born and raised in Wilson, PA. After a 22-year service in the United States Coastguard, Brooks returned to Easton, PA. In January of 2015, he purchased Bank Street Creamery (formally named ‘The Purple Cow’) from the original business owner, Lynn. He spent many hours with Lynn and her ice-cream maker, Melissa, in order to learn the art of creating high quality small batch ice-cream.
After some time had passed, along a woman in June of 2016, Candace Gail joined Brooks as a full time partner of Bank Street Creamery. Throughout their business partnership, Brooks and Candace refreshed the shop and introduced new products- a line of Vegan gelatos, sundaes, and recipes. As the business grew, it became a beloved, bustling, and vibrant spot in downtown Easton for both locals and visitors alike. The Bank Street Creamery continues to take pride in its high quality ice-cream, versatile options, and friendly, efficient customer service.
